Well, now we’re on the hunt for a great new trench coat and there are many options (did we mention that some are even on sale?). One of the major style decisions to consider when purchasing a new trench is whether to go single-breasted or double-breasted.
A single-breasted trench will give you more style options and ultimately lends itself to casual situations. Meanwhile, a double-breasted trench is more formal and while you can leave it open like pictured above, ultimately it looks best (yes you guessed it) buttoned. An investment piece, we recommend further narrowing down your choices to a trench coat in color schemes that are close to navy, black and khaki. In those colors, you can’t go wrong.
