Chai’s Regime-Approaching his fall/winter 2013 with a militaristic theme, New York-based designer Richard Chai looked to a somber palette to set the tone for a collection strong on silhouettes and embroidery. Enlisting the civilian for the styled forces, coats were set in a new dimension with vivid prints while shirts and other pieces were reinterpreted with tonal bars to continue the militant theme. Continuing his collaboration with footwear brand Palladium, boots, cut from various leathers reinforced the season’s motif.
