Tomas Maier Resort 2015-While Tomas Maier was all about the artist’s canvas for his latest Bottega Veneta collection, for his own namesake label, the designer turns to classic pieces for reassurance. Maier shares with WWD, “A lot of this product I see as very cross-gender.” Holding a men’s bag, the designer explains, “Why am I not selling this to a woman? Who am I to say you cannot buy this?” In a simple vein similar to unisex dressing, Maier approaches resort season with essentials such as rolled shorts or the field jacket, offering a modern fit and great colors that resonates with an easy “Why Not?”
