Designer James Long brought an unexpected flair to the catwalk this season, offering London Collections: Men a feminine touch remixed. Long’s men took to the runway with shearling jackets and coats, fit for a rugged explorer, except they had one new addition…well, maybe a couple. Lace was interweaved throughout the collection, contributing to trousers, shirts and embellishments. Highlighted alongside parachute pants and patched denim, Long’s use of lace made for an arresting statement, taking traditionally active, masculine images and repurposing them with a bold, modern context.
