The period inspires high-waisted trousers and belted tailoring, while knee-length coats come loaded with bellows pockets, zip-front vests sit beneath suits, and ties disappear under aviator sunglasses.
Against a latticed dusk, tobacco, olive, khaki, and brown deepen the argument. Leather, glossy rubber, and crocodile add visual weight. A sheer brown suit, translucent black layers, and pleated linen trousers are among the lighter offerings yet recede into an earthy haze.
The season’s extreme gravity extends to Ferragamo’s footwear. Cut high and falling wide through the leg, trousers break over Ferragamo’s double monk straps and embroidered-toe shoes until little more than a flash of black patent survives. Davis creates a vivid field unit, and somewhere beneath all the fabric and utility is a lighter Ferragamo to discover.
