The only thing that remains constant in the field of fashion is change. With every shift in season and date, trends change, ushering in new styles. These styles and trends are the symbols of beauty, hope and eternity within the ephemeral frame that our life is. Here are 5 key trends from the fall-winter 2018 editions of fashion week to anticipate.

Back to Nature
Delicate florals and stunning nature-inspired motifs are dominating the season. The 70s theme of flower power seems to have made a comeback this year and its good news for all floral lovers. Nature is a huge inspiration, and it is indeed a soothing experience. With the revival of floral prints, there is a breathtaking earthy vibe that is dominating designers’ collections.

Earthy tones are abounding, and beautiful floral prints are looking out of the world. It looks like 2018 is the year when the world of fashion is going to erase the ugly thorns from the society and fill it with flowers and nature. This is also significant in the wake of the environmental pollution, and maybe it will draw some attention towards making the earth a greener place.

Prints on Prints
Fashion is all about breaking the rules and this year rules are meant to be broken, big time! This year the new rule is to wear prints with more prints. It does take some mad skills to assemble an outfit with piled on prints which are not jarring to the eye, but the result is indeed spectacular, as it has been seen! Instead of looking jarring to the eyes, the use of prints on prints, something which has always been a bit frowned upon, does look quite fascinating. The key to making this look work lies in the wise use of prints. Prints which complement each other make an excellent choice when it comes to pairing up.

Color Me Wild
This is the year we break the rules and throw caution to the wind because the choice and combination of colors are immeasurably vast! Choose from any of the color combinations from the color wheel and rock it with confidence. Even the most unorthodox combination is not frowned upon as long as you. Unconventional color choices are a rage this year. Designers are color blocking their clothes with color choices which would have been considerately absolutely blasphemous to create outfits which are unique and stunning.

Velvet Dreams
The appeal of velvet lies in its timelessness. Even though this striking fabric is quite a bit controversial and people either absolutely love it or completely loathe it, it keeps making comebacks on the ramp. This is the year which has seen the revival of velvet in its full glory. Be it just a hint or accent of velvet or going all the way, designers have adopted this gorgeous fabric, and the apparels are looking regal.

Size Does Matter
2018 is not the year for the understated and subtle. Not only is bold the new subtle, oversized in the in thing this year. If you thought oversized clothes are only for street fashion, it is also setting the ramp on fire. Oversized apparel is making its way into various designer’s collections, and it frankly looks quite stunning.

The beauty of the world lies in the dynamic nature of it. Be it American university rankings  美国大学排名 or wall street numbers or global gastronomy or fashion trends; change is the only way to go!
