Reshaping Elegance–The starting point of Emporio Armani’s spring/summer 2013 menswear collection is certainly reinventing sportswear, adding it a touch of timeless and charming elegance to this practical style. To achieve this goal, the designer opted for clean silhouettes that gently follow the body, rather than bringing it out, designed in a classic and quiet palette of sandy neutrals, deep blue hues, rich greens and timeless black, white and grey. For summer 2013 the iconic Armani’s blazer has been revisited in a younger mood, pairing it with shorts that add a more relaxed allure to the traditional business uniform. There’s also room for an elegant and sensuous appeal inside the collection seen on the Milanese runway, as displayed by asymmetrical cuts, jackets worn on bare skin and striped jumpers with see-through details. Following the younger and active spirit of Emporio Armani line, the finale was all about young and sporty swimwear. The designer decided in fact to line up on the runway his latest swimwear suggestions, revealing the mood of the uniforms that he created for the Italian team at the upcoming Olympic Games. This collection certainly represents a good balance between traditional fabrics and experimental and high-tech finishings, proving once again that Mr. Giorgio Armani is the maestro of modern elegance.
