Yohji Yamamoto acts as artist for his spring-summer 2016 menswear collection. Yamamoto’s oversized shapes act as the canvas for a collection that has both its minimal and extraordinary moments. On the colorful side, paint strokes add a vibrant energy to suiting and relaxed separates. The same energy is later translated with a wink into wrinkled fabrics. Exploring different aesthetics, Yamamoto also included what looks like sketches for a Gothic spin on the season’s decorated motif.
