Leon Dame returns for Bottega Veneta’s winter 2026 campaign with a little scruff and an expression that suggests dressing up doesn’t have to be such a serious business. Juergen Teller photographs the German model in Milan, where worn tiles and weathered walls give the house’s elaborate leatherwork a less ceremonial setting.

Stylist Katie Shaw takes that informality furthest with jeans, sunglasses, and an enormous woven bag held against Leon’s bare torso. The accessory does most of the dressing, its scale turning a display of craft into a cheeky sight. The same nonchalance holds when the clothes get more demanding.

A black belted coat extends the woven texture across the body, while a shaggy cream jacket topped with red competes for attention with the staircase around it. Leon gives neither look the grand gesture it might invite. Even perched on a concrete pedestal in a long camel coat, he looks more like a man waiting for someone than a monument to good taste. The scruff helps, adding a touch of disorder to clothes whose workmanship can withstand it.
