Maison Martin Margiela Fall/Winter 2014–Maintaining a clean tailored men’s code for fall/winter 2014, Maison Martin Margiela presented a collection of suiting and sportswear separates with a hint of the fashion house’s penchant for the avant-garde. Playing with proportions and fabrics, tents, diving vests and other material scraps were reworked for unique outerwear pieces ranging from draped jackets to long coats. Working in leather for a hard edge, the chic Parisian elements of items such as a single-breasted mid-length coat were offset by a raw leather jacket worn underneath.
