KRISVANASSCHE Fall/Winter 2014–It was while looking at a photo by John Baldessari, Man Running that Kris Van Assche found the inspiration for his fall/winter 2014 collection. Always intrigued by the idea of sports and traditional menswear, Van Assche found the image compelling. Man Running features a man in the very action, wearing a suit and tie. Using this work as the tipping point, Van Assche approached the season with a running statement of design elements. From houndstooth prints dissected to graphic appliqués, the collection enjoyed a sense of urgency with shrunken jackets, double-breasted blazers, boat-neck tops, oversized parkas and other menswear separates.
