Serge Rigvava
Serge Rigvava is a model raised in Vienna whose career began through Elite Model Look in 2014. Born in Munich, with Dutch, French, and Georgian family roots, he emerged from Austria’s modeling scene to become a frequent figure on the international menswear runways. His curls and full lips gave him an immediately recognizable identity in the collections of the mid-2010s.
The competition provided a direct route into work. Serge reached the international final, and his early seasons brought bookings for Gucci and Fendi, alongside Valentino. Elite Model Look’s career retrospective records thirty-one shows in the season following his participation, a schedule that also included Dior and Hermès.
Advertising for Ermenegildo Zegna Couture followed early in that development, establishing print work alongside the runway. His campaigns became an important part of his public image. Serge joined George Barnett in Paul Smith’s fall 2017 advertising, before fronting Giuseppe Zanotti’s fall 2018 campaign, photographed by Sebastian Faena.
That same year, he appeared with Timothy Lewis in Tom Ford’s fall campaign, photographed by Adam Katz Sinding. These bookings placed him at the center of the images, extending a career first established through a busy show schedule.
Magazine work includes GQ Russia and Esquire, while subsequent assignments have taken him into American denim advertising and Georgian fashion. He starred in Lee’s spring 2023 campaign, photographed by Billy Kidd at Coney Island, and developed a recurring working relationship with Situationist through its lookbooks and runway shows.
Those collaborations give his portfolio a continuing connection to Georgia alongside the European houses associated with his beginnings.
