Jegor Venned
Jegor Venned is a Faroese model and actor from Miðvágur, with Russian and Faroese heritage. Also credited as Egor Venned, he entered modeling after a chance encounter at a family party led to photographs being sent to agencies in Denmark. Elite signed him, and he began working full time at sixteen.
An early milestone came with the fall-winter 2016 cover of Vogue Hommes Paris, photographed by Sølve Sundsbø. The magazine placed him in a Prada look, introducing him through a publication closely associated with men’s fashion photography. Advertising soon gave him another prominent role in Tom Ford’s fall-winter 2017 campaign, which included the designer’s eyewear.
Ralph Lauren became a recurring relationship. Jegor appeared in Polo campaigns across several seasons, including the label’s summer 2018 advertising and its 50th anniversary runway show that year. His work for the house later extended into fragrance with the 2022 Polo Earth campaign, photographed by Cass Bird. These repeated assignments established a continuing association alongside his editorial work.
Acting had been an ambition throughout that modeling career. Based in Los Angeles, he attended evening acting classes before an audition from Copenhagen brought him to No Rest for the Wicked. In Kasper Kalle’s 2026 film, he played Baldur, a Faroese fisherman who falls in love with a visiting whaler, played by Pilou Asbæk. His feature debut took him back to the islands where he grew up.
Speaking to Soundvenue in 2026, Jegor explained the change in his relationship to the camera, translated from Danish, “Instead of looking into the camera, I now had to try to forget it was there.” Modeling had made a busy set familiar, but acting required a different attention to character. The role connected his wish to perform with his Faroese background, making home the setting for a new profession.
