Thibaud Charon
Thibaud Charon was discovered on Place du Marché Saint Honoré in Paris and signed in time to walk the Prada fall-winter 2014 exclusive, where Miuccia opened and closed her show with him. The casting set the terms for everything that followed. From there he moved through the houses that take editorial men seriously, walking Louis Vuitton, Maison Margiela, and Calvin Klein, and shooting campaigns for Dior Homme, Valentino, Bally, and Cerruti.
His face has the quality French casting directors have been reaching for since Yves Saint Laurent first put it on the runway, severe and aristocratic, green eyes set in a long jaw, the bone structure that photographers want a full day with. That face has spent a decade inside fashion’s most serious editorial pages. Charon has shot for Vogue Hommes, L’Uomo Vogue, AnOther Man, Numéro Homme, GQ Style, and GQ Paris.
Thibaud finished a Master’s in International Business along the way and spends his time off the schedule riding his Harley across France, a life away from the studio that the editorial men of his generation tend to guard closely. The recent seasons have kept him in the rotation, with the likes of Berluti, Tom Ford, and Moncler Grenoble, the proof that an editorial face cast well in 2014 is still the face the same houses want in front of the camera now.
