Jon Bernthal brings a welcome dose of Hollywood ruggedness to Fear of God’s The Eternal Order campaign. The actor looks as convincing in a sweeping overcoat as he does in layered denim, making the distance between the two feel surprisingly small.
There is an immediate appeal to seeing a man associated with such physical intensity wear these expansive proportions so casually. A near-ankle-length coat becomes an easy proposition when Bernthal leans against the rock, hands in pockets, sneakers planted in the dirt.

Jerry Lorenzo sees that assurance as part of a larger character. “What I admire about Jon is that he knows who he is and what governs him,” the designer says, pointing to the actor’s commitment to family and community. It is a sentiment that finds a useful visual counterpart here. Bernthal’s masculinity is recognizable enough that the clothes can push further in scale and softness, and still feel connected to the man wearing them.

That is where Fear of God’s versatility comes into focus. The long black coat has movie-star appeal, but Bernthal wears it with the same directness he brings to the more casual looks. Lorenzo’s fashion ambitions become tangible through that continuity. The proportions invite a second look, then the man makes them seem perfectly reasonable. It is easy to imagine wanting the coat.

The expansive outerwear follows Fear of God’s An Eternal Perspective campaign, which brought Collection Nine, Eternal, and ESSENTIALS Signature together in an open landscape.
