Approaching its latest issue, The Hollywood Reporter examines American Crime Story and its season based around the trial of O.J. Simpson. Covering the issue, the show’s stars are pictured left to right: John Travolta (Robert Shapiro), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), Cuba Gooding Jr. (O.J. Simpson), Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran) and David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian). The cast poses for striking studio images by photographer Miller Mobley.

Talking about stepping into the role of O.J. Simpson, Gooding confesses, “There was one day after filming that I went to my trailer and I couldn’t stop crying because I realized I never [even considered the loss] for the Goldman or Brown family.” The 48 year-old Oscar winner explains, “Back then, I was just so relieved that another black man got away from the injustice that was the LAPD. I was just so relieved that they didn’t screw us over again.” Read more on HollywoodReporter.com.

Photographed by Art Streiber, American Crime Story stars Sarah Paulson, Cuba Gooding Jr. and John Travolta appear on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s January 29-February 5, 2016 cover. Executive producer Brad Simpson connects with the magazine and shares, “When we say we’re doing O.J. Simpson, the first thing you hear from everybody is where they were [when it happened].” Simpson continues, “It’s a unifying event. There are few events in culture that are like it, where for people of a certain age you remember where you were. Doing it over 10 hours allows us to explore all the interesting topics that make the case what it is: the LAPD and race, women in the workplace, the birth of media culture, and 24-hour television.” Read more on EW.com.
