Noah Luis Brown
Noah Luis Brown grew up in Basel, Switzerland, with a Swiss mother and Cuban father. Scouted through Instagram by Visage Management, he made his runway debut opening Louis Vuitton’s fall-winter 2017 show, the collection that introduced the house’s collaboration with Supreme. He was 17, and his first job put him at the front of one of menswear’s most closely watched events.
Dance was already part of his life. Brown studied modern dance and expression for four years and was still attending dance school when modeling began. He has described the two disciplines as complementary forms of self-expression, an approach that helps explain the physical ease of his photographs. His strong brows can give a portrait severity; a change of pose or expression makes him look playful again.
Steven Meisel photographed him for both Louis Vuitton’s and Versace’s spring-summer 2018 campaigns. Calvin Klein advertising followed, extending an early career that moved quickly from Paris runway casting to international campaigns. His later work includes Giorgio Armani and Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance, a progression from youthful fashion imagery into a broader leading-man role.
Magazine work has allowed a more expressive side to emerge, including fashion stories for VMAN and a Wonderland cover photographed by Morgan Roberts. Brown has spoken warmly about Basel’s cultural life and access to nature, as well as his father’s Cuban roots. That background gives the international career a personal geography, while dance remains a useful way of understanding how he inhabits the frame.
