Joel Frampton
Joel Frampton is a British model whose career includes two distinct beginnings. After starting at nineteen and working for four years, he stepped away from the industry for twelve years before returning with SUPA Model Management. His second chapter brought a wider range of commercial work, followed by campaigns for established menswear houses.
Joel grew up on a farm in a family of eight siblings, several of whom also became models. His older brother Dave introduced him to agencies while Joel was at college. A test shoot led to representation with Storm, beginning the first phase of his career.
In a 2015 PAPER interview, republished by its writer, Joel explained that returning with a more mature look had opened another part of the market. The family remained closely involved in one another’s careers, even when competing for a booking. “You can’t help but feel super proud [of each other],” he said. Alongside modeling, he worked in events and spoke about ambitions in presenting.
The return developed into sustained international work. Joel appeared in Corneliani’s fall-winter 2020 campaign, while magazine assignments included Robb Report and Wall Street Italia. His casting in Gucci’s fall-winter 2024 campaign added another major advertising credit to that second phase. Editorial work continued with a tailoring story for GQ Portugal, published in 2025.
Music is another longstanding interest. In a 2020 interview with Behind the Blinds, Joel described playing several instruments by ear and having spent years DJing. “It’s important to feel music,” he said. The interest adds another dimension to a professional life that has included events work as well as fashion, with a return to modeling broadening the career he first entered through his family.
