Roman roots and a romantic fashion identity distinguish an Italian model whose work gives classic menswear a cinematic character.

Edoardo Sebastianelli is an Italian model from Colle Fiorito, near Rome, whose career began with a chance encounter on the metro in April 2017. A scout approached him after seeing him stand up, recognizing the height that would soon take him onto international runways. The offer sounded improbable to Edoardo, but its timing gave him a personal reason to try.

Speaking to Tiburno in 2020, he recalled being promised work in Paris and New York, cities he would subsequently visit as a model. “I did it for my mother. I’d lost her a few months earlier, and fashion had always been her passion,” he said, translated from Italian. Work helped him through that period, and an unexpected opportunity developed into a profession he loved.

Within two years, Edoardo was fronting Hermès’ spring-summer 2019 campaign. That same year, an editorial for Vogue Hommes Paris brought him back to Rome, photographing him among the city’s monumental architecture. The place he came from had become a setting for his international fashion career.

Giorgio Armani became another significant client. Edoardo appeared in the house’s fall-winter 2022 Made to Measure campaign, followed by its mainline advertising in 2024. The relationship gave him a recurring role in the imagery of Italian tailoring, building on the early campaign work that had established him beyond the runway.
