Jonas Glöer
Jonas Glöer signed with Tomorrow Is Another Day in Cologne and walked his first Paris season in 2013, opening with Raf Simons and Damir Doma. By 2015, he was closing Prada, a relationship that ran across three seasons and placed him inside the show that defines a male model’s tier for the rest of his career.
Willy Vanderperre shot him for Jil Sander spring-summer 2016 with Olivier Rizzo styling, the photographer-and-stylist pairing that has shaped the look of European luxury menswear for two decades. By his mid-twenties Jonas had a face the industry returned to season after season, with the German bone structure and pale, unfussy gaze that creative directors keep finding new uses for.
A decade in, the work tells the story of a model running two careers at once. Massimo Dutti has used him across editorials, making him the face Inditex reaches for when the brief is elevated. At the same time Louis Vuitton has had him in numerous campaigns. Few male models work fluently across both tiers, and fewer still do it for ten years running. Jonas is what blue-chip looks like when the industry decides to keep a face for the long haul.
