Kenzo
Kenzo is a French fashion brand, which was established by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada in 1970. Although Takada was originally born in Japan, he moved to Paris in 1964 to jump star his fashion career. The designer quickly became known for his fusion of Eastern and Western style motifs.
Taking over from Takada’s successor, Gilles Rosier, designer Antonio Marras helped shape the label’s modern image, marrying charming details with a sophisticated flair. Marras designed for the fashion house from 2004 to 2011. In 2012, Opening Ceremony founders Humbero Leon and Carol Lim were announced creative directors. The two have taken Kenzo into more of a streetwear direction, popularizing items like the Kenzo tiger sweatshirt.
