Luigi Bianchi takes its name from the tailor who established his business in Mantua in 1911. Luigi Bianchi opened Primaria Sartoria Luigi Bianchi to make men’s clothing and women’s dresses and suits. That workshop became the foundation of Lubiam, the family-owned Italian clothing company whose name combines Luigi Bianchi and Mantova.

The label represents the more formal expression of that manufacturing heritage. Its collections bring fabric research and tailoring technique to a wardrobe centered on the suit, with separate jackets and coats extending the same approach into other settings. The aim is to give an established form enough flexibility to suit different bodies and ways of living.

Luigi Bianchi Sartoria sits alongside the company’s Flirt and Cerimonia collections, each addressing a different part of men’s dress. Made-to-measure adds a personal dimension to the offer, connecting the selection of cloth with adjustments to fit. The business’s identity remains closely tied to the knowledge accumulated in Mantua.

Giovanni Bianchi has continued the family’s creative work through Lubiam’s style office. The group’s L.B.M. 1911 label explores a more informal tailoring vocabulary, while Luigi Bianchi retains a particular commitment to the suit.
