Saint Laurent’s spring-summer 2016 Surf Sound Collection served as a tribute to contemporary Californian surf music culture. Interestingly enough, a mix of slim-cut fashions with a vintage appeal called to mind grunge style and the iconic look Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. A mix of tattered plaid shirts, oversized cardigans, Hawaiian print shirts, leopard trim, shrunken knits and high-waisted denim jeans fueled Saint Laurent’s retro attitude.
