Taemin Park
Taemin Park is a South Korean model from Busan whose international career began with exclusive runway bookings for Prada, Dior, and Calvin Klein in 2018. That concentrated introduction followed years of preparation in Korea, where he had pursued modeling alongside other work and military service.
Taemin made his runway debut in Blindness’ spring-summer 2017 show, presented in 2016. Before entering the industry, he worked a succession of part-time jobs, including in a shipyard.
In a 2018 interview with Sports Seoul, he recalled studying fashion magazines, lookbooks, and runway films during military service, then attending a one-day modeling academy after his discharge. “I started dreaming of becoming a model at twenty, but I didn’t have the money,” he said, translated from Korean.
An encounter with a British journalist backstage at Blindness encouraged his ambition to work internationally. With help from people he knew, Taemin traveled to Milan, where Prada booked him exclusively. Dior in Paris and Calvin Klein in New York followed for the spring-summer 2019 collections.
Advertising arrived early too, including Prada Linea Rossa’s fall-winter 2018 campaign. His international debut established relationships with major houses across several fashion capitals in a single season.
Taemin’s subsequent career developed through repeated runway appearances and advertising, including work for Hermès and Maison Margiela. His Giorgio Armani spring-summer 2023 campaign and return appearances for COS extended the photographic side of his work.
He appeared in COS’ fall 2023 advertising and its fall-winter 2024 campaign, building recurring client relationships beyond the first season’s attention.
International work also changed his understanding of the lives behind the castings. For a 2026 UNICEF campaign with Marie Claire Korea, Taemin spoke about African colleagues who sent earnings to support their families and hometowns. “I think change that transforms the world begins with taking an interest in someone,” he said, translated from Korean. The experience gave his working relationships a significance that reached beyond fashion.
