Eddie Klint is a Danish model from Copenhagen whose career took off with Miuccia Prada. He opened and closed the Prada and Miu Miu fall-winter 2006 shows, then appeared in Prada’s menswear campaign photographed by Steven Meisel. The same year, Meisel photographed him for the house’s first men’s fragrance, making his face part of Prada’s identity beyond the runway.

His angular features and reserved presence suited the house’s less conventional idea of a leading man. Campaigns for Bottega Veneta and Lacoste broadened his reach, while editorial work gave photographers room to explore the quieter side of that face. Hasse Nielsen photographed him for the cover of Kinfolk, and his work has also appeared in Wallpaper and Euroman.

Life at sea predates the fashion career. Klint grew up sailing aboard Opal, a wooden vessel his father helped rebuild. In July 2010, he left Copenhagen with his brother and their friend Magnus for a year-long Atlantic voyage, having spent months preparing the boat and earning the necessary licenses. The journey took them through Morocco and Cape Verde to Brazil, a return to the sailing life he had known since childhood.

His later work includes Pal Zileri campaigns and a return to Prada’s runway for spring-summer 2023, years after his first seasons with the house. That continuing relationship connects the young model Meisel photographed in 2006 with a career that has made room for both European menswear and an independent life beyond it.
