For our first issue, we wanted to capture the lightness of the season with a certain simplicity and an eye for detail. Finding the perfect marriage of concept and design in Kris Van Assche’s spring outing for Dior Homme, next was the search for a model with a classic beauty and an easy grace, which we found in Wilhelmina model Jacques Naude. With the creative support of Shannon Sinclair, a wonderful team was brought together to see the picture through. From the keen eye of Richard Pier Petit to the effortless styling of James M. Rosenthal and expert skills of makeup artist Ryan McKnight and hair stylist Andy Starkweather, our Dior Homme story came to fruition. With the issue’s groundwork set, we looked to an energetic collection of artists for an issue of endless editorials, brought together by a common thread felt in a love for this season’s designs.
