Ports 1961 - Canadian Fashion Brand
Ports 1961 is a Canadian fashion house, which was founded by Luke Tanabe in 1961. Originally, the label was an import business called Newport Canada. By 1966, the company launched womenswear and became Ports International. The brand was sold to Etac Sales Ltd. in 1989 and relaunched as the New York-based Ports 1961 in 2004. Menswear was a late addition for Ports 1961, not entering the conversation until 2011.
