Dior Men artistic director Kim Jones and Sacai creative director Chitose Abe join forces for spring-summer 2022. The designers create a Dior Men x Sacai capsule collection, which brings together the best attributes of both brands. Dior’s modern, concise tailoring complements Sacai as a purveyor and trendsetter of Japanese fashion tastes.
Altogether, Jones and Abe take a detail-oriented approach to the season. Dior’s sharp tailoring acts as the foundation for a meeting of fashion aesthetics, as seen with the collection’s Tailleur Oblique jacket. Meanwhile, necessary details come together as Sacai’s penchant for utilitarian style results in open side seams and hems that finish Japanese denim jeans, anoraks, and more.
The Dior Men x Sacai collection makes its debut with a lookbook lensed by photographer Brett Lloyd. Jones enlists regular Dior faces Ludwig Wilsdorff, Thatcher Thornton, and Woosang Kim to front the special outing. Lloyd photographs the models, taking to a set that captures the modern sensibilities of both Dior and Sacai.
