The song boasts a stadium-pop sound quality, Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta shares, “I had been listening to a lot of early 90’s UK artists-Jesus Jones, EMF, George Michael. It was a time when bands first started incorporating break beats and electronic elements into their music. I had been trying to find a way to modernize the sound.” Giving the sound a modern edge, the single samples Fatboy slim’s ‘Praise You’, emphasizing a piano break.
