Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2014 | New York Fashion Week

Soccer Fever-New York-based designer Carlos Campos looked to the sport of soccer to inform his spring/summer 2014 collection. Carlos added that “This collection is about the union between worlds. Whether you’re the greatest footballer of all time on the field or the guy in the stands cheering him on, it’s the love of the game that brings us all together. That is what I wanted to communicate with the interplay of lines, colors and construction in this collection.” With that in mind, the season’s shorts were inspired by the soccer uniform, featuring elastic waists and a high hemline. Paired with sporty polo shirts or printed sweaters, the Carlos Campos man elevated his game with great charm. Rounded out with tailored suits constructed from Japanese cotton, Campos’ penchant for the well-dressed gentleman remained an important component to the label’s collection.
