Carlos Campos is a New York fashion label launched in 2007 by Honduran-born designer Carlos Campos. Raised in a tailoring household, Campos learned from his father before studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The label brought that training into a personal interpretation of American menswear informed by his Latin American background.
Tailoring provided the starting point. Jackets and trousers gave Campos a framework for exploring proportion, with color helping distinguish his collections from the conventional business suit. His work often places architectural shapes beside softer elements, allowing a coordinated look to retain the ease of everyday clothing.
Campos was selected as a finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2011. The recognition brought attention to an independent designer developing his business within New York’s fashion industry. His collections also became part of the city’s menswear presentations, where a clear use of color and silhouette helped define the label’s identity.
The brand has expanded its offer to include casual separates and eyewear, while tailoring remains a central reference. Its New York base and the founder’s Honduran heritage provide two connected perspectives on men’s dress. Across the collection, the emphasis stays on how a jacket, shirt, or pair of trousers can give the wearer a recognizable outline through cut and proportion.
