When it comes to dark fashions this season, Alexandre Plokhov served up the best offering during New York Fashion Week: Men. The designer sent monochromatic numbers down the catwalk for spring, beginning with everyone’s favorite color–black. A minimalist touch with a penchant for modern proportions resulted in elongated suiting, oversized tops, lean leather pants and statement making jumpsuits. Expanding the color palette to red, army green, pale yellow and white, the show continued, enjoying a number of trendy staples to emerge such as mesh tanks, cargo shorts and structured tees.
