ICON America makes a commanding entrance with its premiere issue, spotlighting a curated ensemble of figures who have shaped, challenged, and redefined masculinity across film and fashion.
Robert De Niro takes the lead, captured in an intimate black-and-white portrait by Charlie Gray and wearing Brunello Cucinelli. His cover marks a rare moment of reflection from a man whose career has long served as a mirror for American identity—one that still bristles with contradiction and charisma.
ICON America Premiere Issue

Under the direction of ICON America editor-in-chief Gro Curtis, the magazine’s “Models as Muses” initiative brings three arresting counterparts into focus: Kit Butler in Dolce & Gabbana, Leon Dame in Alexander McQueen, and Malick Bodian in Bottega Veneta.
Each is profiled through the lens of the designer who finds inspiration in them. Butler’s cover radiates youthful bravado, Dame’s poise distills a sharp new silhouette, while Bodian’s glinting steel-grey tailoring projects a studied authority.

Titled “Elegance, Reclaimed,” the issue champions a sharper vision of contemporary style—one informed by legacy but pivoting toward the future. Reworld Media’s U.S. launch of ICON marks a shift in focus, adapting the magazine’s perspective for an American audience.

With Andrea Tenerani, Alex Wiederin, and Tanya Amini rounding out the team, the biannual publication places narrative, photography, and cultural authority on equal footing. ICON America’s first issue hits newsstands May 13, 2025, and the conversation it opens is already in motion.
