Madewell heads to the shore with its new summer arrivals. From the bed of a pickup truck to the crashing surf, the setting complements the clothing. The crinkled cotton camp shirts arrive already puckered, the linens are pre-wrinkled, and the 1991 loose straight jeans have lost most of their indigo to a factory fade that mimics a year of salt water.
Madewell Summer 2026

A slub-knit Johnny collar polo and an eyelet-embroidered camp shirt add texture across the top half, while the palette hovers between hues of dusty mauve, pale gray, and cream. The lineup brings to mind early-’90s surf culture and late-’70s Southern California film stock as reference points.

Camp shirts hang far enough from the body to catch a crosswind, pull-on linen shorts sit just above the knee with a relaxed thigh, and the utility pant falls straight from hip to hem and pools over flip-flops.

Madewell bets on a summer wardrobe that feels broken-in from the first wear and ready for long drives with the windows down.
