Banana Republic makes its September 2026 proposition simple. Its man travels well. Setting its latest edit in Tokyo, the brand sends Valentin Humbroich, Aubrey O’Mahony, and Rina Fukushi through the city with a wardrobe capable of keeping pace. The lineup runs from relaxed brown tailoring and layered shirting to denim, substantial leather and suede jackets, and an archive-inspired rugby jersey.
Tokyo proves an apt destination for this exercise, given Japan’s long relationship with refining Western menswear classics. Banana Republic, in turn, taps its own history as a label once defined by the romance of travel. The difference today is that adventure no longer requires dressing the part. These are familiar clothes made for a man whose suitcase needs to work wherever he lands next.
