Saint Laurent’s spring-summer 2016 Surf Sound Collection includes many covetable eyewear styles, but we have no problem playing favorites. The laid-back outing from Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane features a vintage minded aesthetic with a tribute to grunge style and surf music culture. Honing in on eyewear, two pairs of sunglasses that standout for the season are Saint Laurent’s SL 98 California sunglasses and SL 100 Studded sunglasses. While the SL 100 sunglasses add a rebellious edge with studs, the SL 98 California sunglasses call to mind the iconic style of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The must-have sunglasses embrace an oval shape like Cobain’s signature Christian Roths frames.
