German designer Robert Geller looked to 1980s Berlin for inspiration in his spring-summer 2017 collection. Unveiled during New York Fashion Week: Men, the lineup embraced relaxed silhouettes and vibrant bursts of color.
Geller captured the spirit of 80s style for men, revisiting the early part of the decade with a youthful, invigorated perspective that balanced nostalgia with modern ease. Known for his smart use of varying proportions, oversized granddad collars, shrunken, tailored jackets, and leopard print trousers were only part of the designer’s selection of covetable pieces.
Additional standouts included jumpsuits, sleek vests, pocket tees, and summer-weight coats. Slouchy shorts and color-blocked bomber jackets also contributed to the collection’s easy marriage of style and utility.
