Promoting his starring role in the play The Nap, Jack O’Connell is the latest actor to star in a photo shoot feature for Mr Porter’s The Journal. Cleaning up in smart menswear for the occasion, O’Connell is outfitted by Mr Porter contributing style director Dan May. Sporting a wardrobe of various brands that range from Levi’s Vintage Clothing to Lanvin, the 25 year-old actor is photographed by Christophe Meimoon.

When Mr Porter meets up with O’Connell, the actor is noticeably rubbing his head frequently. He offers “Sorry. I’ve just had me hair cut. It’s a bit addictive.” O’Connell continues, “It’s just more practical, innit? You don’t have to worry about it. With so many cameras around, you can’t help but become a little self-conscious.”

Revisiting his upbringing, O’Connell talks about growing up in a working middle class family in the East Midlands, sharing, “I cling onto it. It’s where I learned a lot of my early lessons. Someone told me that if you’re 22 before you move away, you keep your accent for ever. I hope that’s indicative of the mindset, too.” Read more on MrPorter.com.
