Photographed by Miller Mobley, Cincinatti Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton covers the most recent issue of ESPN magazine. Dalton’s photo shoot for the magazine has been the inciting force behind playful banter from Dalton’s teammates concerning his hair. Being a red head, attention is nearly a given, but with Dalton, his hair is a constant conversation.
ESPN rounded up several of his teammates comments, which included Wallace Gilberry exclaiming, “It’s hot. It’s red. It’s fire. He’s the ‘Red Rifle’. He has the hot hair and the hot hand right now.” On a more serious note, Gilberry adds, “As long as he keeps going, I don’t care what color it is. It could be purple for all I care.”
Referring to the cover photo, Carlos Dunlap quipped, “It was the eye black. He went all out for the picture. I like it.” Adam Jones added that Dalton’s hair looked “cute”. Typically asked about his hair and personal style, Dalton says, “Who would have thought of these conversations we’d be having Week 9 or Week 10? Talking about my hair and the clothes that I wear.”
