Alexis Petit

Alexis Petit is a French model who entered the industry after being scouted at a friend’s fashion show. A qualified chef before his modeling career developed, he began working full time in 2014, exchanging a professional kitchen for magazine sets and international travel. His dark hair and cleft chin became recognizable features in menswear advertising, particularly through recurring work for Mango and Morris Stockholm.

An early editorial for VMAN preceded a broader run of magazine assignments. His portfolio grew to include L’Officiel Hommes Brasil and At Large, alongside SCMP Style. In 2015, Benjamin Kanarek photographed him with Christopher Michaut and Quentin Lejarre for the latter publication, establishing fashion editorial work alongside his emerging commercial career.

Morris Stockholm became a sustained association. Alexis appeared with Alexandre Cunha in the label’s spring 2019 campaign, then joined Federico Novello for its autumn advertising in Antwerp. The repeat casting made him a returning face in the Swedish brand’s travel-led menswear images.

His work with Mango developed across seasonal advertising and clothing edits, including its “Around-the-Clock” outing in 2021. Magazine bookings continued in parallel. For the February 2020 issue of Elle France, he appeared with Vanessa Moody in photographs by Sam Hendel.

Reiss and Tommy Hilfiger also feature in his portfolio, while later assignments include Sunspel and Luca Faloni. His collaboration with Ed Martin for Massimo Dutti’s “Off-Guard London” edit in 2025 extended a recurring theme in his work: menswear photographed as part of a day in motion. Across these relationships, repeat bookings have given his career its continuity, with brands returning to him over successive collections.
