Designer Hedi Slimane continues to set the trends. First, Slimane inspired the reemergence of a cigarette slim silhouette at Dior Homme and now after a successful tenure at Saint Laurent, the designer has revolutionized modern branding. Using Slimane as a model for new creative directors and their impact on existing labels, it’s no surprise to see a brand change its logo or aesthetic for a fresh chapter. This model has been embraced with Alessandro Michele’s 70s inspired stint at Gucci.
Now, Brioni creative director, Justin O’Shea hopes to inject the sartorial fashion house with an exciting personality. O’Shea puts his stamp on the brand with his first campaign. Metallica makes for an unlikely partnership as the legendary rock band fronts a new campaign by photographer Zackery Michael. Featured in black & white images, Metallica dons Brioni’s classic suiting for an interesting juxtaposition of ideas. The advertisement also features a revamped Brioni logo that reinterprets the label’s branding from 1955 to 1986.
