Asia Wysoczynska is a budding designer from Warsaw, Poland. Recently selected for inclusion in Diane Pernet’s picks for The Shop at Not Just A Label, Wysoczynska pulled pieces from her mini-collection “Androgyny Tighten Up”. Offering a great opportunity to show the softer side of menswear, the sheer collection was inspired by the duality of human nature. Pieces are masculine, while still displaying a sense of fragility. In this way, Wysoczynska reinterprets menswear in a romantic fashion that is gentle and refined. Wysoczynska is still in school, but she will be presenting her graduate collection later this year. Until then, check out The Shop at Not Just A Label for a chance to snag one of her pieces.

  1. this isnt fashion in my opinion. this is pure experimentation. i dont understand the vision & dont think this is wearable for men.

  3. How is that “pure experimentation”? Ok so there’s sheerness in the shirts, which not everyone is comfortable with wearing, but the silhouettes are pretty much conventional – just the fabrics and proportion is a little off-centre. I really like this actually, and thanks Carl for introducing her to us!
Lol, pure experimentation is this: http://is.gd/1TE0H

  5. lol, I just happen to be listening to Lady Gaga right now. I hate how she has blown up to be some type of fashion icon. Girl is ridiculous and attention seeking.

  8. i wouldn’t say that this isn’t fashion…but i do agree that it is experimental, but isn’t that the point of fashion? to be experimental and to try to find new things that work?
I mean i personally don’t think i would wear this, b/c i just don’t think i could rock it, but it would have to say that this is definitely fashion b/c of the sheer(haha pun) fact that he tried something different, and made you look, cock your head, and discuss it.

  10. how is this experimentation? i’ve seen plenty of sheer shirts for men, all she did was make the sleeves long. and i’ve seen shirts with added ties before, carolyn massey and others. personally i dont think it’s very flattering (and yes, that’s what fashion should be, it’s a design and therefore should be designed to fit the body), and it doesnt have the redeeming factor of being substantially different. but all power to ms. wysoczynska, young designers should get all the attention they can get.
