The majority of the world’s fashion weeks have run their course and winter sales’ racks are beginning to look bare. Spring arrivals are accompanied by tempting bursts of color. With their new Phillip Lim stock, Oak is not helping those of us who are trying to use a little self-restraint. The ivory cotton jersey vest is light and playful, while the olive green drawstring shorts offer a play on masculinity. Overall, both pieces contribute to a delightful ensemble.

  1. I would love these in black or khaki like Phillip Lim showed on the runway, but it’s a bit steep, for my wallet at least. I’m sure H&M or Zara will produce something similar in rsponse to it, for much less, but it’s definately not the same as the original.

  2. If you have second thoughts, try giving the New York or Los Angeles Phillip Lim store a call. Lim always does his pieces in 424254324 colorways and the store assistants are always happy to help.
