Maison Margiela is a French fashion house, which was founded by Martin Margiela and Jenny Meirens in 1988. The high fashion label is known for its artisanal collections and experimental silhouettes. In 2002, Maison Martin Margiela’s majority shares were purchased by the OTB Group, helmed by Renzo Rosso. Until 2009, the brand’s collections were designed by Martin Margiela. In 2014, designer John Galliano joined the fashion house as creative director.
