J. Press heads for the harbor for summer 2026, presenting a collection that frames Ivy style as a living tradition. Photographed aboard a sailboat and along a waterfront dock, models João Forte and John Pearson embody two generations of the J. Press customer, one youthful and athletic, the other seasoned and assured.
Madras sport coats, striped seersucker suits, linen tailoring, repp ties, and oxford shirts appear against sunlit water, recalling the East Coast summer culture that shaped Ivy dressing in the first place. The setting feels drawn from the world of old Newport regattas and vintage catalogs, where a blazer was as likely to be worn on a boat deck as in an office.
Summer gives the collection its lightest touch, leaning into fabrics traditionally associated with Ivy warm-weather dressing. Seersucker tailoring arrives in traditional stripes, patchwork madras jackets provide the season’s brightest notes, and cable-knit sweaters add warmth for cool evening breezes.
João shifts easily between relaxed polos, shorts, and soft tailoring, while John lends gravitas to linen suits and club ties that have defined the brand for decades. Together, they capture what J. Press continues to do better than most, presenting classic American menswear as clothing worn and enjoyed.
