Tobias Sorensen

Tobias Sorensen is a Danish model whose rugged features and athletic build have made him a recognizable figure in menswear and fragrance advertising. Raised in Søborg, outside Copenhagen, Tobias studied business and worked in a clothing store before modeling took him abroad.

Speaking to Joseph DeAcetis for Forbes, he recalled asking his older sister to take photographs for his first agency submissions. Rejections followed, including concerns about the cost of retouching his facial scars. An agent eventually spotted him at work in the store, setting his international career in motion. He continued his education alongside those early bookings before moving to New York.

In a 2013 interview with ADON, Tobias remembered preparing for his first show for Kris Van Assche by practicing with a more experienced roommate. His third season in Milan brought fifteen shows. The scars from a childhood dog attack became part of his professional identity, and he welcomed the possibility that his success might encourage a broader understanding of beauty.

A major chapter followed with Calvin Klein. In 2015, Tobias appeared alongside Jasmine Tookes, his partner at the time, in the Eternity Now fragrance campaign. Underwear advertising extended his relationship with the brand, establishing him within its particular language of physical confidence and intimacy. Davidoff offered another recurring fragrance role, from Run Wild in 2019 to Cool Water Reborn in 2022.

His attachment to Denmark has remained a personal counterweight to that international career. In a 2022 interview with Vogue Scandinavia, Tobias discussed buying a home near the harbor north of Copenhagen where his grandparents had owned a vacation house.

Time in New York had sharpened his appreciation for Danish design, and furnishing his own place became another form of self-expression. His interest in fashion extended to the space he wanted to return to, shaped by family memories and a growing appetite for a quieter daily life.
