Jarrod Scott is an Australian model of Italian and German descent whose career began with a practical problem. Scouted in the Philippines in October 2011, he had run out of money while traveling and took up modeling to finance his return home. By January 2012, he was walking for Givenchy in Paris.

His athletic physique and strong features soon found an audience beyond the runway. A spring-summer 2013 cover of Vogue Hommes International helped establish his international profile. That same year, he became the face of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male fragrance, a role that brought his physical confidence to a wider public through advertising and film.

He became an ambassador for Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef in 2018 and participated in expeditions supporting the Great Reef Census. Speaking to The Gentleman’s Journal, he traced that interest to a longstanding love of the ocean and to keeping reef tanks while living in New York, where growing coral taught him about the fragility of marine ecosystems.

Scott has spoken directly about the tension between that commitment and working in an industry that contributes to pollution.
