Tommy Hilfiger and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s FRGMT find common ground in a shared attitude toward music, fashion, and youth culture. Their fall collaboration revisits the American brand’s 1990s heyday, when oversized prep became synonymous with hip-hop and streetwear.

Rugby shirts, varsity jackets, relaxed denim, and archival sailing styles receive Fujiwara’s treatment, with light blue replacing Tommy’s signature red, white, and blue and FRGMT’s thunderbolt graphics appearing alongside familiar logos. Model Nile Winchester brings the collection to the streets of New York, pairing denim with hoodies, plaid layers, and skateboarding gear.

The clothes could easily pass for a regular Tommy Hilfiger release, which speaks to how closely the two designers’ worlds already intersect. Hilfiger helped bring American prep into hip-hop culture, while Fujiwara helped establish streetwear’s relationship with music and fashion in Japan. Their collaboration is ultimately a meeting of attitudes more than design languages, with the shared cultural history doing as much work as the clothes themselves.

Tommy Hilfiger’s recent showing for spring 2027 demonstrated how the brand constantly bends the rules of preppy style.
