Thus, it’s understandable that the season takes on a reflective tone as a continuation of the “20 Years: Re-Coded” exploration of Y-3’s past, present, and future. An advertisement featuring Zinedine Zidane is an excellent approach to capture the season’s spirit.
Y-3’s spring-summer 2022 campaign stars French footballing legend Zinedine Zidane as the face of the fashion brand. In monochrome designs for the season, Zidane, a longtime friend of the label, hits the photo studio with the brand. Gabriel Moses photographs Zidane for the Y-3 advertisement, capturing the star in black-and-white shots.
Y-3 Spring/Summer 2022 Campaign
The Y-3 man is excellently represented by Zinedine Zidane since, as Yohji Yamamoto famously observed, “Sport is Y-3.” It serves as the brand’s defining essence and source of inspiration.
As a result, Zidane has collaborated with Y-3 on several occasions, including walking in several runway shows and appearing in many advertising campaigns. Zidane fronts the season for Y-3 as a connecting thread, bringing significant moments from the brand’s history to the present and reimagining them for the future.
Zinedine Zidane is best known for his technique, control, and discipline on the pitch. He also possesses an inherent grace, featured prominently in Y-3’s new advertising campaign.
