GU enters a new era with its fall-winter 2026 collection, the first designed under creative director Francesco Risso. Released as the Japanese brand celebrates its 20th anniversary, the collection introduces a wardrobe organized around six lifestyle concepts: minimal, classic, utility, playful, sports, and cozy.

The concepts encourage customers to mix pieces to suit their own routines instead of following a single aesthetic. The result is a balance of tailoring, knitwear, outerwear, and casual separates that feel contemporary while remaining approachable.

The collection favors rich seasonal colors, including brown, olive, charcoal, mustard, and deep blue. Checked suiting, long overcoats, cropped jackets, cardigans, and relaxed trousers form the foundation.

Sportswear also plays a central role through varsity-inspired track jackets, hoodies, cargo pants, and substantial puffers. Textured scarves and knitwear add warmth for the colder months.

The overall collection reflects Risso’s vision of clothing that supports everyday life while leaving room for personal expression, giving GU a confident new direction as it looks beyond its second decade.
